Imam Syafi'i Sibreh Islamic Boarding School held a communal breaking of the fast event on Tuesday (19/3). The event was attended by 1000 guests from various backgrounds, including Government Agencies, Social Organizations, Community Leaders, and other dignitaries.
The event, held at the boarding school's complex, was also attended by the Aceh Besar Regency Government, represented by the Head of the Dayah Education Office of Aceh Besar, Abu Bakar, S.Ag, as well as several officials and community leaders.
During the occasion, the Head of the Central Foundation in Jakarta, Ustadz Ahmad Zawawi bin Nawawi, who was also present, stated that the communal breaking of the fast event is regularly held by Imam Syafi'i Sibreh Islamic Boarding School as a way to foster closeness with the local community and government during the month of Ramadan.
The Head of the Dayah Education Office of Aceh Besar, in his welcoming remarks, invited the entire community to fill Ramadan with various acts of kindness and to follow the rules and calls that were issued by the Aceh Besar Regency Government some time ago.
The leader of Imam Syafi'i Islamic Boarding School, Ustadz Teuku Tommy Satria, M.Ag, expressed his gratitude to the academic community of the boarding school and the community for the success of the breaking of the fast event.
The invitations consisted of residents residing around Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar, the Sukamakmur Sub-District Muspika, the Leaders of the Lajnah Khairiyah Musytarakah Foundation of Aceh Darwis, S.H, the heads of Regional Organizations, as well as social organizations and other community leaders.
This event is an annual routine where it is always attended by many people, so it is not surprising that many people are hoping for a similar event to be held again.
