One of the students of Imam Syafi’i Islamic Boarding School, M. Hanif Baihaqi, will participate in the 37th Aceh Qur’an Recitation Competition (MTQ) in 2025, which will be held in Pidie Jaya Regency. The event will take place from November 1 to 8, 2025, and will be attended by delegations from all districts and cities across Aceh.
Hanif was selected as one of the representatives of Banda Aceh City in the Fahmil Qur’an category — a competition that tests knowledge, speed, and accuracy in understanding the Qur’an and related Islamic sciences. This category requires a broad understanding of Qur’anic interpretation, hadith, Arabic language, and general Islamic knowledge.
The leadership of Imam Syafi’i Islamic Boarding School expressed full appreciation and support for the student’s participation in the event. “We fully support Hanif’s participation in the Aceh MTQ. This is part of the learning process and devotion through the Qur’an. We hope he can perform calmly, confidently, and achieve the best results,” said the school leadership.
The 37th Aceh MTQ in Pidie Jaya serves as a gathering and healthy competition platform for young Qur’anic generations throughout Aceh. Beyond the competition, it also aims to foster love for the Qur’an and strengthen the Islamic scholarly tradition among students and santri.
Imam Syafi’i Islamic Boarding School hopes that M. Hanif Baihaqi’s participation will inspire other students to continue learning, achieving, and contributing to religious activities at various levels.
